A visual perceptual evaluation is designed to identify strengths and weaknesses in visual perceptual skills that may affect learning, including:
- Eye Movement Function
- Form Perception Skills
- Visual Memory Skills
- Visual-Motor integration
- Laterality and Directionality
During the evaluation your child will be asked to complete activities like analyzing pictures, drawing pictures, writing words, and reading numbers. Additionally, for children reading at or above the 2nd grade level, we utilize the Visagraph eye-tracking test, which uses infrared light to monitor eye movements while reading age-appropriate text.
